Al Hughes is a UK based Radio DJ and musician with nothing but love for music across many genre’s.

Al was born in Glasgow, Scotland and raised on Rock. At the age of 11, Al heard KISS for the first time and has since been a lifelong superfan. This led into a love of hard rock and metal which remains Al’s go to passionate genre.

Al however developed a wide and deep appreciation for all types of music and points to bands like Radiohead, Floyd and even ABBA as influences as well as artists like Dylan, John Lee Hooker, Prince, The Jam, The Sex Pistols, The Clash and even The Proclaimers, and many more across most genres… So, its a pretty eclectic music headspace for him.

A proud Scotsman, Al has traveled extensively across the world and now resides in Merseyside… the home of The Beatles. Al lived and worked for years in the States and The Caribbean and says that America and Americans hold a very special place in his heart!

Al is a musician and vocalist and has over the years performed to crowds of three people to 52,000 people and remains a writer of acoustic based work. Al hosts rock shows and more eclectic shows covering many genres, so there’ll be something for everyone’s musical ear.

In a world where toxic and hateful energy is so prevalent, Al believes that kindness is a super power and you’ll regularly hear that theme in his shows.
